(Live Coaching on the Final Day of the Year)
If you’re watching the video that accompanies this post, you’re witnessing something very real, very unscripted, and very intentional. This is live coaching on the final day of the year—not from a place of perfection, but from a place of truth, reflection, and deep alignment.
Today isn’t about rushing into resolutions. It’s about closing 2025 with clarity and stepping into 2026 with confidence, strategy, and self-trust. I want you to feel excited as you read this—not pressured, not behind, but ready. Ready to honor how far you’ve come and open yourself to what’s possible next.
2025: A Year That Asked Us to Be Honest
As I reflect on 2025, one word rises to the surface: adaptation.
This year stretched many of us—personally, professionally, emotionally, and financially. And yet, I want to pause right here and say this clearly: if you are still standing, still dreaming, still learning, you did not fail.
As President of Turning On The Lights Global Institute, I spent much of this year encouraging women to acknowledge their wins—even when the wins didn’t look glamorous. Sometimes the win was rest. Sometimes it was saying no. Sometimes it was letting go of something you once loved so something new could emerge.
One of the bravest decisions I made in 2025 was choosing to pause the International Women Build Confidence Conference in December. That wasn’t an ending—it was a strategic shift. A signal that our organization, like the women we serve, is evolving. Pausing created space for clarity, alignment, and innovation—and I stand firmly in that decision.
Leadership requires courage. And courage often looks like choosing what’s sustainable over what’s familiar.
AI, Authenticity, and the Leader You’re Becoming
As I prepare for our February 2026 conference, one thing is undeniable: artificial intelligence is no longer optional for small business owners, coaches, authors, and leaders. But let me be very clear—AI does not replace your voice, your wisdom, or your lived experience.
AI is a tool. You are the expert.
What I see happening—and what I caution against—is overwhelm. Too many tools. Too many platforms. Too much noise. The real power comes when you sequence AI intentionally—using it to support your leadership, not drown it out.
This season calls for authentic engagement and community. It’s okay to slow down. It’s okay to reflect. It’s okay to take care of your relationships, your health, and your spirit while learning new technologies. Growth does not require burnout.
We are all adapting—myself included. And that’s not a weakness. That’s wisdom.
Side Hustles, Layoffs, and the Reality We Can’t Ignore
2025 also revealed some hard economic truths.
We witnessed widespread layoffs—especially impacting African American women and federal workers. As a result, side hustles are no longer “extra.” They’re becoming essential. Today, 72% of workers either have or are considering a side hustle to offset inflation and uncertainty.
But here’s what I want you to remember:A side hustle without strategy leads to exhaustion.
This is where storytelling and expert leadership matter more than ever. Platforms like LinkedIn and tools powered by AI can amplify your brand—but they can never replace your credibility, your clarity, or your confidence.
We don’t need more noise. We need more grounded leaders who know their value.
And I’m optimistic—because I see women learning, collaborating, and showing up with intention again.
Financial Stability Is Personal—and Powerful
One of the most important conversations we need to have is about financial stability and personal well-being—together, not separately.
Your income affects your health.Your health affects your creativity.Your family, your energy, your goals—they are all connected.
This is why I encourage you to assess where you are honestly. Not with judgment, but with curiosity. Write it down. Look at it. Name it.
Then ask yourself:What is one action I can take to improve my situation?
That’s how momentum begins.
My approach to goal-setting has always been rooted in self-assessment and action. Reflection without movement keeps us stuck. Action without reflection leads us astray. We need both.
My Vision for 2026—and My Invitation to You
As we step toward 2026, I’m holding myself—and inviting you—to a higher standard of care. I call it 5-star treatment.
Five-star care for your body.Five-star care for your mind.Five-star care for your goals.
I believe deeply in incubation periods—intentional time to think, plan, and test ideas before scaling them. Early in my coaching journey, I served just three clients to refine my craft. That season of focus changed everything.
Now, I challenge you to do something powerful:
👉 Identify 15 meaningful accomplishments from the last 10 years.👉 Schedule real, protected time to work toward your 2026 goals.👉 Decide—intentionally—what you are no longer available for.
And if you want guidance, structure, and community as you do this work, I invite you to join me at the International Women Build Confidence Conference. This is where clarity turns into confidence—and confidence turns into action.
Final Thoughts: You’re Not Late—You’re Right on Time
As this year closes, I want you to hear this:
You are not behind. You are not invisible. You are becoming.
2026 isn’t asking you to rush. It’s asking you to rise—with intention, wisdom, and courage.
Let’s prepare for it—together.
With purpose and power,
Dr. Allana Da Graca
